Philippians 1:3-5
(Monday, May 19)
If you haven't already, make sure you check out the intro post for this week. Meditate on this verse, let it sit in your mind and heart, and learn as much as you can from this piece of God's inspired Word. It's also helpful to read through this verse in it's context before you meditate on it:I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.

Like Scott was saying, we tend to pray and think of those in the body that are close to us, in front of us more or have served us. We don't think on a regular basis of those of the body we have yet to meet. The body of Christ is vast and we settle for what is in front of us now. Paul prays for ALL, which is an awesome reminder that God remembers ALL even if we aren't close to Him, or serve Him. He remembers us even when we forget about Him!
